I spoke at the Waverley Development Control Forum (a pre-application meeting) about the redevelopment of Woodside Park in Catteshall Lane. The owners proposed four options, from mixed office/housing, to all housing, to housing and a supermarket. I spoke on behalf of the Godalming Neighbourhood Plan group, of which I’m chair, about the need for smaller accommodation, both for first time buyers, and for the elderly to downsize. We also need more affordable care homes, and an Extra Care facility that provides on site support would be welcome.
This meeting provided a forum for all views to be aired, so it will be interesting to see what the owners take on board.
